Redirects & 404s

Moved a page? Keep its visitors and rankings.

When an address changes or a page disappears, RankFlow sends visitors and Google to the right page instead of an error. Its own changes are handled for you; everything else comes with a suggested target.

Why it matters

When a page changes its address or disappears, old links, bookmarks and Google results hit a “page not found” error. Visitors leave, and the rankings that page earned are put at risk.

A 301 redirect sends both to the new address, so the page keeps what it earned. RankFlow creates one on its own whenever you change an address in RankFlow, and asks first when you remove an article.

Pages that moved or vanished outside RankFlow are collected for you with a suggested new home, and nothing becomes a redirect until you say so. One redirect list goes to your site and shows what's live.

How it works

  1. 01

Your own changes are covered automatically

Change the address of a published article or landing page, and RankFlow creates the 301 as soon as your site has the new one, never before. The old address never hits a dead end.

    RankFlow does

Creates the 301 and updates your site

  2. 02

    Removing an article asks first

Before an article comes down, RankFlow asks where its visitors should go and suggests the best fits: the main guide on its topic, related articles or the home page. With Search Console connected, Google is told too.

    You do

    Pick where visitors land

  3. 03

RankFlow finds moved and missing pages

It spots addresses that changed outside RankFlow, shop products that moved or vanished, broken links from Site Health, and pages Google sent clicks to in the last 90 days that now return an error.

  4. 04

A suggested target for each one

A moved page gets its new address, a missing one the closest match from your own pages, with how sure the match is. If a whole folder moved, one rule covers it all.

    You do

    Accept, change or ignore

  5. 05

    Your site stays in sync

Every change sends the full redirect list to your website. If your site is down, RankFlow retries every 15 minutes until it lands, and each redirect shows whether it's live.

Retries until your site has it

  • Every redirect in one list, with whether it's live on your site right now.
  • Moved and missing pages arrive with a suggested new home, ready to accept.
  • Pick where each old address leads, from ranked suggestions or an address of your own.

What you get

One redirect list for your site

Every redirect with its old and new address, 301 or 302, whether it's live and where it came from.

Problem addresses, most important first

Moved and missing addresses with a suggested target, ranked by past Google clicks and links from your own pages.

Redirects you add yourself

Any old path to a new path or full address, 301 or 302. Pause one without deleting it, or cover a whole folder with one rule.

Alerts that lead straight to the fix

A note for every redirect RankFlow creates on its own, and an alert when an address needs one, cleared once it's handled.

Works on its own. You stay in charge.

Runs on its own

  • Automatic 301s for moved pages

Off by default. Switch it on, and a page that moved on your site gets its 301 at once, when RankFlow knows both its old and new address. You're told every time.

  • Pages Google lost

About once a week, finds pages that had Google clicks in the last 90 days and now return an error, and suggests where to send them. Needs Search Console.

  • Retry until it's live

If your site missed the redirect list, RankFlow sends it again every 15 minutes until it lands.

Always your decision

  • Missing pages

A page that returns “not found” never gets a redirect on its own, even with automatic 301s on. You choose where it leads.

  • Folder rules

A rule for a whole folder always waits for your approval, and you can adjust it first.

  • Moves detected on your site

By default, every detected move waits for you. Only owners and managers can switch on automatic 301s.

What you need

  • A site that can serve redirects

WordPress with the RankFlow plugin, or a Custom REST connection that supports redirects. RankFlow websites and GoHighLevel blogs can't serve them.

  • Sources to watch

Synced articles or a synced store, Site Health scans and Search Console each bring in problem addresses. The more you connect, the more RankFlow finds.

Plans and allowances

In every plan

AI work counts toward your plan's monthly limits. You always see how much is left, and you can request more whenever you need it.

Only for changes you make in RankFlow, such as a new address for a published article, and you're told each time. Moves detected on your site wait unless you switch on automatic 301s; missing pages and folder rules always wait.

No. It finds missing pages through your syncs, Site Health scans and Search Console, which covers pages that had Google clicks or links from your own pages. Visits to a dead address from other websites aren't counted.

The redirect is saved in RankFlow and marked as not live yet. RankFlow retries every 15 minutes, and you can resend the list any time.

RankFlow refuses a redirect that points to itself or bounces back to where it started. If an article's address changes and later changes back, RankFlow tidies up the old redirects so no loop forms.

No. RankFlow manages only its own list, which the RankFlow plugin serves. Redirects from other plugins stay where they are.
